About

Washington Lions Football Club (WA Lions FC) is a Seattle-based nonprofit organization that uses the power of soccer to unite, uplift, and strengthen the community. Founded by a group of passionate veteran players, the club serves as both a competitive team and a platform for social impact. Our mission is to promote health, fitness, teamwork, and charity through the universal language of soccer — creating opportunities for engagement, mentorship, and support across generations.

At the heart of Washington Lions FC is our commitment to community. Beyond competing in veteran-focused tournaments, our members organize free soccer camps and local tournaments for youth and adults throughout the Seattle area. These initiatives provide a welcoming space for players of all backgrounds to connect, develop their skills, and experience the joy of teamwork and sportsmanship. By combining athletic excellence with service, we aim to inspire positive change both on and off the field.

Our club’s structure reflects our dedication to leadership and accountability. Governed by an elected Board of Directors and supported by a strong Executive Committee and Sporting Department, WA Lions FC operates with integrity, transparency, and collaboration. Members — many of Cameroonian origin but inclusive of all who share our values — contribute not just as athletes, but as ambassadors of unity and community engagement.

Through every match we play and every event we host, Washington Lions FC stands for more than just soccer. We stand for connection, discipline, and giving back. Whether it’s mentoring young players, organizing charity tournaments, or representing our city at the National Veterans Tournament, our goal is to make a lasting difference. At WA Lions FC, we believe that when a community plays together, it grows stronger together.
